How to authenticate Good Standing for use in China?
A Certificate of Good Standing, sometimes called Certificate of Existence or Certificate of Status must be legalized by the Chinese Consulate or Chinese Embassy in order to be used in China. You must request a certificate from the Secretary of State office located in the state where your business is registered as a legal entity.

If your document is issued from the following states, you must have it authenticated by the US Department of State before submitting to the Chinese Consulate or Embassy:
- Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming and Washington DC.
Otherwise, since the document is issued and certified by the Secretary of State, you can proceed to Chinese Consulate authentication.
